Climatic Peace Initiative

Our organization is deeply committed to empowering and educating the youth through a comprehensive project that encompasses five key areas. Firstly, we focus on the interplay between religious beliefs, environmental consciousness, and climate action, aiming to inspire our youth participants to create a powerful synergy that leads to outcomes such as environmental initiatives with religious organizations, mobilization of religious communities for climate activism, and the integration of environmental concerns into religious rituals. We recognize the transformative potential of combining spiritual beliefs, environmental awareness, and practical efforts to address climate change and environmental degradation. Secondly, we emphasize systems thinking to help our youth understand the complex web of relationships and influences that contribute to climate change, including political and economic systems. Thirdly, we equip them with skills in project planning and community mobilization, encouraging them to develop robust strategies for implementing climate action projects within faith-based communities and mobilizing these communities toward sustainable practices. Fourthly, our project delves into strategic communications, teaching the youth how to highlight faith-based values and create a multiplier effect to drive meaningful change in attitudes and behaviors towards climate action. Lastly, our participants embark on climate advocacy and community outreach, ultimately dividing into teams to plan and represent their local or international initiatives in global competitions, including the prestigious Conference of the Parties (COP) event. These initiatives are centered on promoting the contributions of women to climate change solutions, showcasing the potential of technology and faith, and increasing access to technology for a deeper understanding of climate change impacts. Additionally, our participants actively engage in regional events and interfaith campaigns, extending the reach and impact of their work. Through these five core areas of focus, our organization is paving the way for a sustainable future by empowering the youth to be proactive in addressing climate change and environmental degradation while drawing upon their faith as a source of inspiration and guidance.

I was introduced to Catalyst 2030 by our director board, as I initially wasn't aware of the organization. What motivated me to join was Catalyst's commitment to collaborative and innovative approaches to social change. Witnessing how they empower local communities and drive impactful solutions inspired me to be part of a movement that prioritizes sustainability, inclusivity, and real-world results.
