FoodVrse

FoodVrse is a Kenyan social impact startup and digital platform that helps reduce food waste by connecting consumers to perfectly good surplus meals from restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, and food vendors at discounted prices. It operates on the belief that “good food deserves a second chance.” By using the FoodVrse app, users can browse a wide variety of unsold but still fresh and safe-to-eat meals that would otherwise go to waste, place orders at affordable prices, and pick them up at specific collection times. This creates a win-win for both businesses (who recover losses and reduce waste) and consumers (who enjoy quality meals at a lower cost).

As a young social entrepreneur building FoodVrse, I hope to contribute practical insights from grassroots innovation, circular economy solutions, and youth-led leadership in Africa. I bring a commitment to advancing SDGs 2, 11, 12, 13, and 17 through scalable, tech-enabled solutions that reduce food waste and create sustainable markets. From the Catalyst 2030 community, I’m looking to receive collaboration opportunities, shared learning, and global mentorship that can help amplify our impact.
