Independent (Erick Odudo)

I have been involved in coordinating a program to uplift Urban Refugee Life Skills and Livelihood through social entrepreneurship training and further coordinate such activities that eventually lead to their visibility to potential funders for their ideas so developed. This happens in different forms;  Conducting business assessments and aligning them with Alliance for African Assistance - Kenya (AAAK) business training and funding programs.  Leading the recruitment of refugee social entrepreneurs into a catalyst training program  Participating in the entire refugee business social entrepreneurship training programs and reporting on training progress and gaps  Leading the scrutiny and selection of business ideas during pitching for possible funding  Coordinating and compiling of comprehensive report on recruitment, business selection, and funding process for each entrepreneurial cohort  Participating in capacity-building workshops for social entrepreneurial growth and sustainability of the businesses  Coordinate follow-throughs to monitor progress and help tackle business challenges affecting social entrepreneurs  Helping refugee social entrepreneurs prepare for business funding opportunities.  Coordinating meetings with potential donors for the funding of running or future refugee social entrepreneurial pieces of training and subsequent funding.  Coordinating with relevant government agencies on business processes and licenses during and after funding to individual refugee social entrepreneurs. I also help in identifying potential mentors for those refugees developing business ideas

I will contribute to the Catalyst 2030 community by offering my skills in community engagement and talent acquisition. Further, I will be able to benefit Catalyst 2030 when I bring on board my experience, and skills in working with people of diverse cultures and even different sexual orientations. The community will help me join important social entrepreneurship movements for further learning and engagement. The movement will also expose me to different people of interest in social enterprising.
