The Elders Council for Social Entrepreneurs

The Elders Council for Social Entrepreneurs creates a global network where seasoned entrepreneurs share their wisdom, tackle challenges like succession, financial planning, and identity shifts, and support the next generation of change-makers. The Elders Council for Social Entrepreneurs is building a supportive global network of social entrepreneurs where hard-won wisdom can be shared with one another and with those following in their footsteps. It is vital that ‘elders’ in this field share the experience, knowledge and wisdom they have cultivated over the years, as well as gaining support as they move through new stages in their career. The challenges they face can include succession or transition planning, financial provision for later life, a crisis of identity once they leave their organisation or the potential for mission drift within their organisation. Our aims are to build a supportive network of social entrepreneurs and change makers across the ecosystem, sharing the wisdom of elder Social Entrepreneurs to benefit each generation to come.

I’m joining Catalyst Now, because systems change, community is needed. We’ve built replicable, self-funded eye care models served 2.7M people, but to scale globally, we need bold collaborators. I hope to learn from changemakers tackling structural barriers through innovation, justice, and policy. We do not have all the answers. But we know what is at stake. And this movement can help us grow, lead, and build better together.

I look forward to inspire my community, from children to youth, women and decision makers to be part of a team that would bring justice in Libya. As a country that has been colonized through much of its history, making our own fair system and awareness has been always on a jeopardized development. I wish to share the knowledge I have acquired through my study at a German school, then moving to London then to Ankara, to cause my community to think from different perspective.
