Impact Seed

Impact Seed is in the 'business' of systems-change finance and entrepreneurship. It was founded in 2014 in Western Australia as a response to a startup, innovation and investment ecosystem that was, at the time overtly tech-centric and you were identified as “either a business, or a social enterprise, and not both”.  Not satisfied with WA’s lack of support for social enterprise development, social innovation, and impact investment, Impact Seed established as a market builder and consultancy.   As both a social enterprise and a certified B Corp it lives and breathes its social purpose through supporting impact businesses, government, not-for-profits, foundations and family offices in building, articulating and investing in purpose driven businesses and projects, bridging investment and philanthropy. Impact Seed has supported over 200 founders, not for profit, businesses, investor and government stakeholders, built an active government advocacy profile, along with a range of incubation, education and innovation programs, workshops and events with a substantial proportion of this being pro-bono activity.  As a social enterprise it also reinvests a significant proportion of its profit into its impact mission
