I am deeply committed to championing the importance of the science through my active participation in the UNGA, UN ECOSOC Forum, and UNFCCC COP conferences. I am dedicated to facilitating constructive conversation and interdisciplinary collaboration among the stakeholders to address global challenges and inspire actions towards the UN SDGs, including climate change on biological systems (SDG 13), ecological management and biodiversity conservation (SDG 14 and 15), and public health (SDG 3). I am devoted to fostering public awareness, understanding and engagement with science, empowering future generation of biologists through education and outreach (SDG 4), and amplifying the efforts by supporting gender equality and underrepresented groups to create an open, inclusive, and diverse community (SDG 5). Together with young scientists at University of Oxford, I believe we should stand at the forefront of policymaking procedures and proactively campaign for ethical considerations in genome editing, synthetic biology, and artificial intelligence, encourage the open sharing of scientific knowledge with unrestricted global access to cutting-edge research, and shape UK’s position as a global leader in biological research, innovation, and technology.
