EHLSmile

I am an Associate Professor of Strategic management at EHL, specializing in entrepreneurship for social impact and small hotels. I also co-direct the EHL Institute for Nutrition R&D. The mission of the Institute is to develop sustainable and tasty recipes for the future of food. Before stepping down in 2024 to revert to her academic passions and specialize in social entrepreneurship, I held a six-year leadership position at EHL. I served as Dean of the Undergraduate School, Executive Dean, Managing Director of the academic units, and member of the Executive Leadership Team. I hold a Ph.D. in Strategic Management in Hospitality from Virginia Polytechnic. My research and consulting work focus on socially and economically sustainable hospitality concepts. I join the Catalyst as a member of the EHLSmile association. EHLsmile is a non-profit organization founded in 1996 by a group of EHL students. We co-create and revamp hospitality vocational training centers to fight against poverty and encourage sustainable tourism development with other NGOs.

At a personal level, I want to bring my expertise in 1. strategic management, 2. hospitality, 3. education management, and 4. Academia to this global and collective movement and leverage them for a positive impact. We hope to contribute with our expertise to the movement and connect and collaborate with members who are also serving similar missions. Finally, I would like to support the movement's promotion by conducting evidence-based research focusing on hospitality and tourism.
