Recovery and Access to Commonly Best Optimism – South Sudan (RACBO)

RACBO is South Sudan's non-profit, non-governmental organization registered with the South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC). It was founded in 2012 as a community-based initiative in the village of Riang-Aketh, Aweil East County in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State. Our mission is to be an effective civil society organization capable of accessing resources to empower and drive development across South Sudan. Our mission is to enhance the capacity of communities and CSOs/NGOs to enable inclusive participation and control over humanitarian and development efforts, achieving self-help and self-reliance among communities in South Sudan and beyond. This endeavour aligns with SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and strong Institutions) through RACBO 's role as a national NGO working to build civil society capacity and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through our mission to mobilize resources for humanitarian and development efforts.
