Crisis Text Line

Crisis Text Line is a non-profit pioneer in the text-based/ digital mental health and crisis response space. Since 2013, our innovative volunteer training model + technology platform has undergirded the delivery of 24/7, free, anonymous text-based crisis response and mental health support to people in over 14 million moments of crisis across the US and our affiliated partner network in Canada (Kids Help Phone), Ireland (spunout), and the UK (SHOUT). We have built one of the largest mental health volunteer crisis response training programs in the world, with over 100,000 volunteers trained to date. Our new research reveals that our model is delivering far more impact than just the critical support provided to texters within our platform - at least doubling the total number of crises supported or prevented across the communities and countries we serve, while building community resilience and strengthening the digital mental health service ecosystem itself. Within 2025, we will expand access through new partners to the entire Spanish-speaking world.

We hope to raise our visibility in and find partners to strengthen the mental health ecosystem worldwide, learn and collaborate among members of the Catalyst Movement, and would be happy to contribute connections and unique expertise we may have of value to the group (i.e. impact assessment, coaching and mentoring, regional partnerships).
