180 Turning Lives Around

My name is Patricia Behrens, I am the Outreach Coordinator for New Jersey’s 2NDFLOOR Youth Helpline. It is my responsibility to facilitate and participate in outreach events on behalf of the helpline to engage the youth in proactive mental health care. Assuring every youth within our scope knows and has access to this free services which will help to save lives. This work also permits the ability to be on the front lines on the helpline, speaking with the youth as a means of knowing where they are at so we can further develop the program to meet their needs.

I’m motivated to be part of the Catalyst Now Child Protection Collaboration because I believe in the power of partnerships to drive real change for vulnerable children. With my experience at 180 Turning Lives Around, I’ve seen firsthand the impact of violence, trafficking, and abuse, and I know that systemic solutions require global collaboration. This opportunity allows me to advocate for survivors, connect with key funders and partners, and help shape innovative, action-driven solutions that protect children. I want to ensure that local insights inform global strategies and that survivors’ voices remain at the center of child protection efforts.

With this application it is my hope to work with the Child line International mission. I would like to bring my experience to the table to help advance their movement as well as collaborate with them to bring ideas to my own program. All this in effort to better the ways that the youth can receive the help they needs by best means necessary.
