I am writing to express my sincere interest in becoming involved with Catalyst 2030, a renowned social enterprise, with a specific focus on its initiatives in Myanmar. As a passionate advocate for social change and sustainable development in my home country, I am deeply inspired by the mission and impact of Catalyst 2030, and I am eager to contribute my skills and experiences to its endeavours.
I grew up in a small town called Loikaw located in Kayah State, Myanmar. I obtained my high school degree from No. 2 Basic Education High School Loikaw. Following that, I attended the Youth Life Formation Center where I learned music, personal development, English, religion and culture, sports, and later pursued higher education. Subsequently, I majored in English literature at Loikaw University. During my university years, I founded an English conversation club where students could share knowledge, interests, and practice speaking skills with the help of Manchester University. Amidst the global upheaval caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, I facilitated online classes and workshops, guiding teams to adapt to new standards and fostering continual language improvement among fellow students. Furthermore, during this challenging period, I furthered my personal development by obtaining a degree in Peace and Leadership from Thabyay Education, while continuing to pursue knowledge and personal growth. Through participation in Mentorship Training Myanmar, I extended support to peers navigating uncertainty stemming from crises, notably as internal conflict escalated in our country, particularly in our state. I contributed to logistical support and relief efforts by volunteering with the World Food Programme (WFP), aiding in the distribution of humanitarian aid. However, continuing education became increasingly difficult in that environment, leading me to plan to continue my studies at Woosong University. Now, I am studying Global convergence Management. Now, I am studying Global convergence Management. All these learning and experiences encourage me to dive in both education and social enterprise.
Myanmar, undergoing significant socio-political and economic transitions, presents both challenges and opportunities for social innovation and entrepreneurship. Having been actively involved in various community development projects and educational initiatives in Myanmar, I am acutely aware of the pressing need for scalable and sustainable solutions to address critical issues such as poverty alleviation, access to quality education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability.Through these experiences, I have developed a deep understanding of the socio-economic landscape of Myanmar and have cultivated strong networks within local communities, civil society organizations, and governmental institutions.I am particularly drawn to Catalyst 2030's collaborative and innovative approach to driving systemic change through partnerships, co-creation, and leveraging technology and entrepreneurship for social good. I believe that by aligning with Catalyst 2030, I can leverage my expertise and networks to contribute meaningfully to its mission of advancing sustainable development goals in Myanmar.Furthermore, I am eager to engage with Catalyst 2030's diverse network of stakeholders, including social entrepreneurs, impact investors, policymakers, and grassroots organizations, to co-create innovative solutions and drive collective action towards achieving positive social impact at scale.
