Proximity & Innovation in the Global South

01-05-2023 20:00:00

English

Whether it’s through collective organizing or creating new economic opportunities, there are multitudes of proximate leaders in the Global South using innovative solutions to improve the lives of their communities. The urgency of their innovation and activism requires urgency from the field: What does it look like when philanthropy equitably funds those leaders? Or when financial products and services are designed for these leaders and their impact potential? Hear directly from social innovators in this conversation their perspectives on how supporters can work in partnership with them to ensure they have autonomy and resources to do their work sustainably. This session sets the stage for a collective approach crucial to supporting social innovators in the Global South.
