Mobilising Capital for Mental Health: Pipeline, Pitfalls and Practical Action
Mental health is a global health crisis. Yet, most countries dedicate less than 2% of their health budget to it. Countless social entrepreneurs are working on the problem, with deep impact. However, the complexity of mental health issues, its intersectionality with social indicators of a community, and the absence of reliable empirical data make it challenging to find sustainable sources of funding.
This session will draw on the expertise and experience of panelists (primarily funders) to delve deeper into the unique challenges faced by the funding community to support mental health initiatives, and how if addressed they could lead to high-impact opportunities.
