Accelerating Fashion Forward: Building a Collaborative Ecosystem

In this interactive session, participants will explore innovative strategies and collaborative actions in order to co-create features of a platform helping to build a collaborative ecosystem of sustainable ethical actors along the fashion industry value chain. Through discussions, brainstorming, and practical exercises, we’ll create a roadmap for a new fashion industry system. With new advancements in AI, not only will this be a collaborative learning experience it will be a co-creation with participants being encouraged to think BIG incorporating the latest innovations in AI that make global collaboration increasingly possible building innovative solutions to build the sector.
Key topics include building a sustainable, ethical fashion ecosystem; reclaiming fashion for the Global South, combating appropriation and lack of access to market, transforming the industry into something that represents freedom and joy vs superficiality; and building a collaboration between networks to facilitate collective action. Takeaways include gaining insights and viability of a platform; a number of innovative solutions and actionable ideas through collective brainstorming; community building and empowerment through collaboration. Call to Action is increased resource sharing, collaboration and exploration of innovative ideas through the Sustainable Fashion Collaboration and additional involvement in the building the platform.
