Independent (Oluwayomi Tobi-Ayegun)

I am a project manager passionate about managing social developmental initiatives and a social innovator. I give professional support by volunteering and actively participating in initiatives that work on accomplishing Social development goals. My 3 SDG of interest are: Economic growth, Sustainable cities and communities, and Good health. I presently volunteer at Sustainable Green Environment Initiative (SGEi), where I contribute my skills into projects that address flood and enhance sustainable cities and communities. I managed an empowerment initiative that trained over 500 SMEs across Lagos State on financial management and digital marketing for their business upscale. This project was sponsored by Empowerment for Local People Foundation in partnership with Lagos State Empowerment Trust Fund. Some of the beneficiaries who were committed in the training became certified and granted access to loans for their business expansion. Also, I co-lead an intervention initiative that impacted about 900 small firms across 40 markets in Lagos. These firms were equipped with digital record keeping to enhance their business processes with incentives. Comprehensive training contents including one in a local language were created to empower the SMEs. I organized a business summit for indigenous SMEs in Lagos State, anchored by the Empowerment for Local People Foundation. In the summit, some SMEs that have been in operation for over 20 years were awarded. I have contributed to several other initiatives that support SMEs in Africa with requisite skill and resources. Also, I have collaborated with public health practitioners on projects that facilitate good health and well being. A notable project that I contributed to was on menstrual hygiene in low-income communities in Nigeria.
