Young people are driving change in every corner of the world, yet their voices are often underrepresented in policy and advocacy processes. This interactive session brings together youth leaders, policy advocates, and practitioners to explore how young people are shaping policies that affect their communities and the global agenda.
The session will begin with brief context-setting presentations highlighting global trends, challenges, and opportunities in youth-led advocacy. Participants will then move into breakout discussions organized by both regions (Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Middle East & North Africa, Europe) and population groups (e.g., LGBTIQ+, Indigenous Peoples, Refugees & Migrants, Rural Youth). In these spaces, participants will share experiences, discuss priorities, and co-develop strategies for more inclusive and effective engagement with policymakers.
Facilitated by regional moderators, these conversations will provide a space for youth to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and identify actionable solutions tailored to their contexts. The session will close with a plenary discussion, synthesizing key insights and highlighting opportunities for cross-regional collaboration.
