Climate, Community and the Call for Resilient Urban Futures

This session spotlights Mumbai’s M/East ward, among the city’s most deprived and climate-vulnerable areas, where residents face fragile housing, displacement, and health risks tied to climate change. Through the animated film Gutter Ki Machhli, participatory arts workshops, and performances, participants will engage with lived experiences of women, children, and youth who are reimagining their neighborhoods. The key takeaway is a call to action: to amplify community voices, recognize the creative potential within marginalized groups, and commit to inclusive urban development shaped with, not for, residents.
