I represent an organization named Pipi Rotba. Pipi Rotba is Swahili that loosely translates to Nutritious Sweets. We are a social enterprise operating as an organic fruit farm in a 12 acre piece of land, nestled at the heart of the sleepy rural village of Adu-Chamari in Magarini Sub County, Kilifi County, Kenya. We are not just a fruit farm, ours is an orchard promoting nutrition through biodiversity. We are cultivating fruit plants and trees including Pineapples, Watermelons, Pixie oranges, Avocados and Mangoes. We aim to promote nutrition through cultivation of fruits grown 100% organically and supplied to markets (local and export) fresh and free of harmful chemicals. Our farm utilizes up to 98% local labour and guarantees fair wages to the local community members as we also seek to promote socio-economic empowerment of local households. Our ultimate goal is to invest up to 30% of our proceeds in school feeding programs with a focus on nutritious fruits and promoting agroforestry among community members we work with.

I hope to network with likeminded change agents and learn from their diverse experiences and also develop connections and linkages to funders of social enterprises looking to provide funding to enable scaling of impact. I will also be keen on sharing success stories from Kenya.
