YCN

Youth for Change Network (YCN) is a youth-led organization dedicated to empowering young people to drive sustainable social change in Malawi. Our mission is to equip youth with the skills, knowledge, and platforms they need to participate meaningfully in leadership, civic engagement, and community development. YCN focuses on six main thematic areas: youth empowerment, climate and environment, health, livelihoods and economic empowerment, gender equality and inclusion, and support for persons with disabilities. Through these pillars, we implement initiatives such as leadership and digital literacy programs, environmental conservation and clean energy projects, health awareness campaigns, entrepreneurship and financial literacy training, and advocacy for inclusive participation in all spheres of society. We actively engage communities, stakeholders, and partners to co-create solutions that address pressing local challenges while aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By promoting collaboration, innovation, and inclusion, YCN fosters environments where young people can contribute to long-term systemic change and sustainable development. Since its inception, YCN has successfully implemented community-based projects, nurtured youth leadership, and created opportunities for skills development and employment. Our approach emphasizes practical action, partnerships, and continuous learning to ensure that our programs have meaningful impact and scalability. At YCN, we believe that empowered and informed youth are catalysts for change, capable of transforming communities, driving sustainable solutions, and influencing policies that shape a better future for all.
