Kehinde Ganiyu Coker is a Teach For Nigeria Fellow, educator, and climate advocate based in Lagos, Nigeria. He works in underserved public schools, supporting inclusive education and improving learning outcomes for young people. Kehinde holds a Master’s degree in African and Diaspora Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Religious Studies Education from the University of Lagos. Beyond the classroom, Kehinde is actively involved in climate action and youth leadership. He serves as the Country Lead for Nigeria with the African Network for Climate Action and has been recognized as an IFRC Limitless Innovator and an SDG Youth Advocate for Climate Leadership. His work focuses on climate resilience, creation care, and empowering young people to take informed, values-driven action in their communities. Kehinde’s mission is to raise disciplined, purpose-driven leaders through education, faith, and innovation. His vision is to build systems that integrate learning, leadership, and sustainability to create long-term impact locally and globally.

I am motivated to be part of Catalyst Now because of its commitment to supporting grassroots changemakers who are driving sustainable and community-centered solutions. As an educator, youth leader, and climate advocate, my work focuses on using sports and mentorship to address youth disengagement, promote leadership, and advance awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals in underserved communities. Through my Mushin Youth Football and Mentorship Initiative, I am creating structured pathways that connect young people to opportunities in sports, civic engagement, and personal development. However, I recognize the need to strengthen my capacity, scale my impact, and collaborate with like-minded innovators. Catalyst Now offers a unique platform for learning, mentorship, and global collaboration. I am particularly excited about the opportunity to refine my project, gain practical tools for implementation, and engage with a diverse network of changemakers committed to social transformation. I am eager not only to learn but also to contribute my experience and insights to the community.
