Who are we The National League of Indigenous Pygmy Associations of Congo, LINAPYCO for short, is the emanation of the desires of the indigenous people of the DR Congo to assert their fundamental rights on a national scale, rights which have long been marginalized, trampled and violated by Congolese society. Founded in 2002, it has 32 member associations and networks present in 21 of the 26 provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our Mission  To support the improvement of the living conditions of indigenous Pygmy peoples and to mobilize the Congolese State to establish a national policy for indigenous peoples relating to the development and management of natural resources. As Strategic Partnership Advisor for LINAPYCO, I play a central role in coordinating and representing LINAPYCO with various technical and financial partners and government authorities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Main responsibilities • Institutional representation: defending the rights of indigenous Pygmy peoples and local communities before national and international authorities. • Partnership management: establishing and maintaining relationships with NGOs, donors, and institutions to support community projects. • Advocacy: raising awareness of the impacts of armed conflict and the militarization of indigenous territories. • Community development: supporting local initiatives to restore degraded land and promote traditional knowledge. I want to join Catalyst Now because I am convinced that the major global challenges—whether climate change, inequality, or biodiversity protection—require collaborative and systemic solutions. Catalyst Now embodies this vision by bringing together social innovators, NGOs, donors, and social enterprises around a common goal: to transform our societies in a sustainable way in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
