Independent (Larissa Martins)

I am a Brazilian professional with a background in coordination, research support, and program operations, with much of my experience shaped by academic and sustainability-focused environments. My work has largely centered on helping projects, teams, and ideas move forward through organization, communication, and thoughtful systems of support. Throughout my career, I have been drawn to roles that sit at the intersection of people, processes, and collaboration. I have worked closely with researchers, program leaders, field teams, and institutional partners, supporting initiatives that required clarity, structure, and strong coordination across different actors. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the often invisible work that allows complex projects and partnerships to function effectively. I am especially interested in spaces connected to social innovation, sustainability, and collective problem-solving. Working within research and federally funded program contexts exposed me to challenges related to environmental systems, resource management, and development, while also highlighting the importance of collaboration and shared learning. Over time, I found myself increasingly motivated by environments that bring together diverse perspectives and encourage cooperation rather than competition. My mission is to contribute to initiatives that create meaningful connections, between people, ideas, and opportunities. I enjoy supporting the structures and workflows that allow others to focus on creating impact, whether through partnerships, knowledge exchange, or coordinated action. I value work that is purpose-driven, relational, and grounded in curiosity and continuous learning. I believe that many of today’s most pressing issues cannot be solved in isolation, and that networks, movements, and collaborative ecosystems play a vital role in driving sustainable change. I am motivated by opportunities to support and strengthen these kinds of spaces. Looking ahead, I hope to continue working in environments that emphasize cooperation, creativity, and shared purpose. I am interested in contributing to initiatives that support social innovators, foster partnerships, and help translate ideas into coordinated, practical action. At the core of my work is a simple intention: to help build and sustain the connections that make meaningful change possible.

I am motivated to join Catalyst Now because I strongly believe in the power of collective action and shared learning to address complex global challenges. Many of today’s social and environmental issues are deeply interconnected, and I am inspired by communities that bring together diverse perspectives, experiences, and approaches to create meaningful change.
