Salam Humanitarian Foundation (SHF)

Salam Humanitarian Foundation (SHF) is a non-profit humanitarian organization established in 2012 and dedicated to supporting conflict-affected and vulnerable communities across Syria. Our mission is to alleviate human suffering and promote dignity, inclusion, and resilience through sustainable and community-driven interventions. SHF works across multiple sectors, including protection, child protection, psychosocial support, livelihoods, education, disability inclusion, climate resilience, WASH, and social cohesion. We place particular emphasis on empowering women, youth, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups to become active contributors to their communities. Our vision is to build an inclusive and peaceful society where all people enjoy equal rights and opportunities and can live with dignity and hope. Guided by the principles of humanity, neutrality, integrity, transparency, and cooperation, we strive to deliver high-quality and accountable programs that respond to immediate humanitarian needs while fostering long-term recovery and development. Through partnerships with local communities, national and international organizations, and humanitarian networks, SHF promotes innovative and locally led solutions that strengthen resilience, social cohesion, and sustainable development. We are committed to ensuring that affected populations are at the center of decision-making and that no one is left behind.
