I am an architect-turned-health innovation entrepreneur and the Founder & CEO of LUMIKEI Med, a startup working to address one of healthcare's most overlooked challenges: the underrepresentation of women in clinical research. My journey into healthcare innovation began with a simple question: How can medicine truly serve everyone if the evidence it is built on does not adequately represent half the population? As I explored the systemic gaps in research, I realized that many women continue to receive delayed diagnoses, less effective treatments, and poorer health outcomes because clinical evidence has historically failed to reflect their needs. Through LUMIKEI Med, I am building a platform that bridges the gap between women and clinical research by making participation more accessible, transparent, and inclusive. Our mission is to help researchers, healthcare institutions, and industry partners recruit diverse female participants while empowering women to become active contributors to medical innovation. By combining technology, education, and community engagement, we aim to make clinical research more representative and ultimately improve healthcare outcomes for future generations. Beyond my startup, I have been actively involved in building communities and driving social impact through leadership roles with organizations such as the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum, and the Red Cross. These experiences have reinforced my belief that meaningful innovation happens when diverse voices collaborate across disciplines. My vision is to create a future where healthcare research reflects the diversity of the populations it serves, enabling more equitable diagnoses, treatments, and medical breakthroughs. I believe that innovation should not only advance science but also increase access, trust, and inclusion. I am driven by the conviction that lasting change begins with asking better questions, building meaningful partnerships, and creating solutions that improve lives at scale.
