WORLD ECONOMY SKILLS AND AGRO DEVELOPMENT (WESAD)

WESAD is a Cameroonian NGO committed to building resilient communities through integrated, community-driven programming. Our work spans four interconnected focus areas: strengthening food security and sustainable agricultural livelihoods; protecting and restoring the natural environment; empowering women girls and youth through economic opportunity and the prevention, response and mitigation of gender-based violence; and expanding access to quality education. We work directly with rural and peri-urban communities, local authorities, farmer groups, women's associations, and schools across Cameroon, and we increasingly recognise that these challenges are deeply interlinked. For example, climate-driven land degradation undermines food security, which in turn heightens the vulnerability of women and girls to exploitation and violence. This interconnected reality is what draws us to Catalyst Now's systems-change approach.
