Roof Over Our Heads (ROOH) Campaign

Global

Roof Over Our Heads (ROOH) is a global campaign supporting women and informal communities in developing resilient, affordable, and low-carbon housing. It works with communities to assess climate vulnerabilities, test locally appropriate materials and designs, and develop solutions to extreme heat, rain, wind, and other climate risks. Through learning labs, partnerships, and community-led research, ROOH is working toward 100 learning labs across 20 countries.
The goal is to help 1 billion people survive the extremes of climate change by transforming their homes into resilient assets. Success depends on moving away from colonial property arrangements and toward a collaborative model that recognizes the agency of those living in informal settlements.
