Dr. Jackie Maalouf honored by the Golden Tanith Award

Dr. Jackie Maalouf was honored by the Beirut International Women Film Festival (BWFF) with the Golden Tanith Award, in recognition of her outstanding leadership in philanthropy.
The Beirut International Women Film Festival (BWFF) took place from April 27 to May 1. Held in Beirut, Lebanon, this festival highlights the role of women as leaders in their communities and addresses critical issues such as gender equality, sexual identity, and domestic violence.
The BWFF describes itself as a champion of the seventh art, with a mission to generate real change through a call to action, advocating for equal rights and responsibilities within cinema and across all spheres of society.
In the 2025 edition of the festival, Dr. Jackie Maalouf — member of the Catalyst Now Governing Council, Co-Chair for the MENA Region and the Lebanese Chapter, and Founder and President of DiaLeb, the national diabetes organization— was honored with the Golden Tanith Award for Philanthropy.
Under the patronage of the Lebanese Ministries of Culture and Tourism, the festival recognized Dr. Maalouf as “a visionary changemaker, whose compassion knows no bounds and whose personal journey has ignited a movement.”
Upon receiving the award, Dr. Maalouf said:
“Reflecting on my accomplishments, I am more grateful than ever to have been chosen for this recognition. It strengthens my resolve to continue working for people living with diabetes and other non-communicable diseases, in Lebanon, the region, and beyond. This has been a journey of purpose, commitment, and sincere advocacy. A special thanks to my family, the DiaLeb team, and all our supporters and volunteers.”
At Catalyst Now, we proudly celebrate this well-deserved recognition of Dr. Jackie Maalouf and her profound impact on local and global communities, driving lasting systemic change.
