In what ways may economic methods convert conflict into collaboration? This interactive event, conducted by peacebuilders and practitioners, examines novel strategies to utilise markets, finance, and local agency for sustainable peace. Principal subjects encompass: (1) Conflict-sensitive economic frameworks , (2) Ameliorating divisions via collaborative livelihoods/cooperatives, and (3) Metrics to demonstrate the efficacy of economic peacebuilding. Participants will evaluate actual examples, collaboratively devise interventions, and depart with: (a) A toolkit of ‘economic peacebuilding’ strategies, (b) Networks for cross-sector collaboration. Optimal for NGOs, policymakers, and enterprises prepared to transcend theoretical frameworks since peace accelerates when affluence is integrated into the equation.
