In Kenya, over 1 million girls miss up to 5 days of school every month due to period poverty. This is not just a health issue—it’s an education, equality, and environmental crisis.

At PadMad, we believe that menstrual dignity is the foundation for a girl’s full participation in society. Our mission is simple yet bold: keep girls in school, protect the planet, and empower women through locally made, sustainable menstrual solutions.

This session will embody the Catalyzing Change Week 2025 theme “Converging Forces: Where Innovation Meets Impact” by bringing together storytelling, film, and dialogue to ignite partnerships for change. We will screen one short, powerful film—”Powerful Women” —that capture the voices, faces, and resilience of women and girls whose lives have been transformed through menstrual dignity.

After the film, we will invite participants into a guided conversation designed to spark partnerships, investments, and collaborations that can scale this proven model.
