How local leaders and grassroots organizations are taking bold steps and breaking old patterns embedded in funding partnerships Join us to learn how local leaders are challenging funding systems from within through practices and norms that hold the sector accountable to commitments at the intersection of philanthropic reform and localization.
The voices and practices of local actors sit at the heart of social change systems. A growing movement of local organizations and partners are encouraging new ways of interacting with resources and the power that comes with it – by no longer waiting for donors to change but by stepping into new, more just and more powerful ways of engaging.

Come join our session to get real-world examples and templates for how to approach funder conversations with your organization’s health and effective programs in mind. Often, it begins with a “no” and then moves towards collaborative and principled action. Much of the discussion about the funding paradigm tends to center on donors and donor behaviors. This is only part of the story – grassroots actors and local leaders are participating in the systems that shape the investment in their work. Join us to move beyond the talk.
