Youth Social Art Award 2026
Green Disability
Author(s): Puneet Singh SInghal
This proposal presents a poetry-based submission rooted in lived disability experience and the Green Disability project. Through verse, it reframes peace as a condition created by accessibility, care, and inclusive systems rather than the absence. The work connects disability justice with health, environmental design, and social trust, echoing youth-led calls for equitable education, mental well-being, and participatory decision-making.
This submission is informed by lived experience of disability in the Global South and applies a disability justice lens to peace and health. It emphasizes accessibility as a systemic, not charitable, responsibility and treats care, rest, and flexibility as foundations of resilient societies. The work intentionally uses simple language to remain accessible across cultures and aligns with youth-led, rights-based approaches to health, inclusion, and environmental justice.
