Mel Young received the Integrity and Impact Award at the 2025 FEVO Sports Industry Awards for his more than 20 years with the Homeless World Cup Foundation.
On May 15, Mel Young, co-founder and chairman of the Homeless World Cup Foundation, was honored with the Integrity and Impact Award at the prestigious FEVO Sports Industry Awards 2025, before an audience of more than 1,600 sports stars and industry professionals.
Considered the most important event in the sports industry, the FEVO Sports Industry Awards recognize achievements, celebrate excellence, and drive innovation in the world of sports.

The Homeless World Cup Foundation is a global network that collaborates with more than 70 grassroots organizations to support people experiencing homelessness. Since 2003, it has organized the Homeless World Cup, a football tournament that offers a transformative and motivating experience to rebuild the lives of those who participate.

In addition to the tournament, the Foundation works with governments and local organizations to promote solutions to the housing crisis and foster social inclusion. It offers support programs, personal development workshops, career counseling, and access to health services for people experiencing homelessness.
