African Women In Technology

I’m the founder of African Women in Technology (AWIT), a platform focused on empowering African women and girls through access to technology, mentorship, and skills training. We’ve hosted AWIT events in the U.S., Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, and Uganda—creating spaces where women can connect, learn, and grow in the tech industry. Our work includes digital training programs, a growing network of 30+ mentors, and curated opportunities that help women across the continent build careers in tech and innovation.

I am the Founder of African Women in Technology (AWIT), a platform I’ve built over the past 10 years offering training in emerging fields such as blockchain, AI, and digital skills. AWIT has convened communities in Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Mozambique, and is based in Kenya, creating access points and mentorship that help women thrive in the digital space. Building on this legacy, I am now developing Lumo Hub, an AI-powered initiative at its MVP stage that connects students, creatives, and entrepreneurs to certifications, freelance opportunities, and community studios. Across both, my work is rooted in lived experience, mentorship, and a commitment to community-led growth across Africa and the diaspora.
