Structures, Customs and Mindsets Zambia is run by a dual system which includes the statutory and customary laws. the fact that the customary law still exists shows us that cultural values and norms are still effective and influence decisions made by individuals and communities. Cultural values and norms, whether positive or negative have an impact on structures, customs and mindsets. Our approach is unique because we work with traditional leaders who are custodians of these customary laws as well as local duty bearers to improve behavioral change as well as address harmful practices
