CAFIID – Canada Forum for Impact Investment and Development

I learned of Catalyst Now at the Social Innovation House in Davos this past January. I am joining as part of the Canada Forum for Impact Investment and Development's organizational membership. Also known as CAFIID - we are a Canadian community of individuals, organizations, and investors working in emerging and frontier economies who treat social and environmental impact and financial return as coexisting priorities. I am also inspired to be involved through my own company (Impact AND Inc.) work raising capital for impact and sustainable investment funds and providing consulting and advising services to various types of institutions regarding these types of investments. I am increasingly involved in the mental health space, both as an Ambassador for the REAL Mental Health Foundation and as the founder of the Pinned2Purpose Initiative, where I host a podcast and engage with a business partner named Tetiana Petruhka, Founder of Evolve, to deliver experiential workshops. Our organization also gives motivational speeches regarding various themes related to mental health. All of these activities, make it exciting for me to be joining this community and discovering amazing people to interact with.

We are motivated to join Catalyst Now to advance field-building in impact investing through global collaboration and shared learning. We aim to contribute practitioner-driven insights, Canadian perspectives, and research from our Communities of Practice while amplifying collective action. In return, we seek connections with peers tackling similar challenges, exposure to innovative approaches, and inspiration to strengthen our role in driving systemic change.
