Centre for Women Studies and Intervention (CWSI)
About Me and My Work
I am Samuel Clement Akorokpor, a development professional with over a decade of experience in program management, resource mobilization, gender equality, and humanitarian response. My work has spanned several national and international organizations, including Caritas Nigeria and the Centre for Women Studies and Intervention (CWSI), where I currently serve as Resource Mobilization and Program Manager. I have successfully managed donor-funded projects from partners such as the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, UN Women, the United Nations Trust Fund, FAO, and various European embassies.
My expertise lies in designing and implementing strategies that empower marginalized populations—particularly women, girls, and persons with disabilities—to overcome structural barriers and lead dignified lives. I also have a strong track record in building organizational capacity, developing strategic plans, and strengthening advocacy initiatives that influence policies and transform communities.
Mission
My mission is to contribute to a just and inclusive society by creating opportunities that empower vulnerable groups, amplify women’s voices, and dismantle social, economic, and cultural barriers that perpetuate inequality. I am committed to driving sustainable solutions that integrate gender, human rights, and community participation at every stage of development.
Vision
I envision a world where every individual—regardless of gender, ability, or background—has the resources, freedom, and support to thrive. A world where women and girls can live free from violence and discrimination, where youth and marginalized groups are equipped to lead, and where communities work collectively to advance peace, justice, and equality.
Through my work and partnerships, I strive to be part of a movement that not only responds to immediate challenges but also builds lasting systems of empowerment and resilience.
