Centro Latinoamericano de Investigaciones Sobre Internet (CLISI)

The defense, promotion, and dissemination of human rights in digital environments have been our motto since our inception. We believe in the use of technology as a tool for a better and more inclusive world. This is achieved through teamwork, horizontal structures, and democratization in decision-making. We want to revive the idea of the ancient Greek forum, where ideas are valued for themselves and tempered by being confronted with other ideas. We build science and knowledge collectively. We stand on the shoulders of the giants who came before us to reach new heights and at the same time serve those who will follow after us. Our beliefs lead us to: Bring together different researchers and institutions that share common interests and work in related areas, promoting the exchange of ideas and effective collaborations. We host the Latin American Free Software Installation Festival (FLISOL), among other international events and calls for participation. Defend the Internet as a human right and common public space. Create data and release it online in a conscious and controlled manner to increase public digital services and their effectiveness. Educate through the use of digital tools.
