Chiggy Foundation for Opportunity

Chiggy Foundation for Opportunity is a Nigerian nonprofit working for a country where no one is held back by where they started. Our mission is simple. We create opportunity for underserved Nigerians to reach their potential, through skills, education, and care. We believe potential does not choose where it is born, and that talent is everywhere even when opportunity is not. We work across three areas. Our skills programme, Skill Scale Up, prepares young people for real work and helps them move into income, not just a certificate. Our education work supports people from school fees to literacy to civic learning. And our humanitarian work brings healthcare and relief to communities that need it, with particular care for women and girls. What sets our skills work apart is honesty about outcomes. Finishing the programme matters, but we do not stop there. We track whether graduates actually go on to earn a living, because that is the change that counts. Eighty six percent of our Skill Scale Up graduates become economically active after the programme, and we hold ourselves to that number. We are now opening this model through a learning platform so it can reach far beyond a single classroom, with our next cohort built to welcome hundreds of new learners. We are a young organisation run by young people, founded in 2024, and we are growing quickly because the need is urgent and the model works. We are proudly locally led, built in Nigeria for Nigerians, and we want to keep learning in the open alongside others doing this work around the world. Founded and led by Myself, Chiggy Nsofor, our team is small, committed, and close to the people we serve. Potential doesn't choose where it's born. Our job is to make sure it gets a chance to grow.

We are a young organisation run by young people, building a measurable model for moving underserved Nigerians into real work. We track whether our graduates actually earn a living, not just whether they finished a course, and we are glad to share what works and what does not. Broadening our funding base is our biggest challenge, so we hope to gain connections to funders and partners, practical knowledge, and honest peers who will challenge our thinking.
