Daryeel Human Rights Organization Ry: Bridging Finland and Somalia Daryeel Human Rights Organization Ry is an international non-governmental organization that operates as a vital link between Finland and Somalia. Our mission is to promote human dignity, support sustainable development, and ensure that the fundamental rights of individuals are protected across borders. By leveraging our unique position within the Somali diaspora in Finland and our direct presence on the ground in Somalia, we provide a holistic approach to social justice and community empowerment. Our Work in Finland In Finland, Daryeel Ry focuses on the successful integration and empowerment of the Somali community and other immigrant groups. Our work includes: • Social Integration: Providing guidance on navigating the Finnish social, legal, and educational systems. • Youth & Women’s Empowerment: Running programs that prevent social exclusion and promote active citizenship among underrepresented groups. • Advocacy: Working with Finnish authorities and NGOs to combat discrimination and promote inclusive policies that respect multicultural identities. Our Work in Somalia On the ground in Somalia, our focus shifts toward humanitarian aid and structural development. We work to improve the quality of life in regions affected by instability and climate change through: • Human Rights Monitoring: Documenting and advocating against rights violations, with a focus on the protection of women, children, and displaced persons. • Educational Initiatives: Supporting local schools and vocational training to provide the next generation with viable economic opportunities. • Healthcare & Literacy: Implementing grassroots projects that improve access to basic health services and promote functional literacy in rural and urban areas.
