Hands on Peru

At 21 years old (in 2013), I co-founded the international nonprofit Hands on Peru. I then studied my MPH at the University of Pittsburgh, and at 24 I moved full time to Peru to build CESAPU - Center for Public Health. Alongside my team of Peruvian healthcare workers, we've created interactive community health programs and provided basic health services to tens of thousands of Peruvians in need. One particular program is CHIMUK, a social-impact knitting brand that up-skills and finally supports 20 women. The nonprofit also provides a platform for global education and health training, and we've worked with over 350 students from Universities like UNC, Yale, UCSD, NCSU, Basel University, and more. I've been awarded University of Pittsburgh's Young Alumni Leadership Award (where I studied my MPH), and have given the keynote speech at NC State in 2023 for their biology department (my alma mater). Since 2024, I've been a part-time professor at UNC Wilmington, teaching global public health & environmental health to University students. My vision is to build my network, share my story, and implement even more community health centers around the world, in order to promote health & wellbeing in impoverished environments.
