My name is Alexandra and I'm passionate about creating impact at the intersection of people and the planet. I'm a manager at Urbanarium, a nonprofit that inspires actionable solutions to the urgent challenges of housing and climate change, advances conversations, and equips residents, governments, and industry to take informed action to improve their cities. I collaborate with the Executive Director and a 20-person Board of Directors made up of architects, landscape architects, planners, developers, designers and other professionals passionate about city making. I'm also the Vice Chair of CityHive Vancouver Board of Directors, a youth-led organizations that aims to that shape more equitable, sustainable cities through civic education, participatory programs, and leadership development. Over the past nine years, I've worked in marketing, communications, and development roles collaborating with nonprofits and global brands to tell their stories, grow communities, and deepen their impact. I've worked across community engagement, climate, and economic empowerment, at the intersection of issues like education equity, food systems, and child welfare in Vancouver and in more than 30 countries. One of my key projects was the launch of the UNICEF SaferKids program, which aims to reduce online sexual abuse and exploitation of children. I recently completed my post-graduate studies in Sustainable Business Leadership at British Columbia Institute of Technology, where I explored how systems thinking, circular economy models, and sustainable strategy can drive meaningful change across sectors.

I’m drawn to Catalyst Now because I want to strengthen how my organization aligns with the SDGs and contributes to systems change. I want to help bring people together around a shared direction and keep our work connected to the larger systems we are trying to shift. I bring experience across the private and social sectors in communications and fundraising, and I’m hoping to connect with people globally and learn from solutions emerging in other cities.
