Independent (Charles Nwishienyi)

I am Dr Charles Nwishienyi, Founder of Mafube Collectives Limited and a programme, partnerships and ecosystem development professional working across agribusiness, entrepreneurship, innovation, capacity building and professional development in Africa. My mission is to help people, founders and institutions move from potential to structured growth by improving access to knowledge, networks, visibility, mentorship and practical opportunities. Through Mafube Collectives, I support young professionals, entrepreneurs, founders and ecosystem actors with training, advisory support, founder readiness, professional positioning, LinkedIn visibility, capacity-building programmes and partnership-driven initiatives. My work sits at the intersection of employability, enterprise development, agribusiness transformation, innovation ecosystems and leadership development. I have supported programmes and platforms connected to UNDP, Mastercard Foundation, FAO, FATE Foundation, She Leads Africa, Linked Africa, Global Mentorship Initiative and other ecosystem partners, helping founders and professionals strengthen business models, improve commercial readiness, access opportunities and build clearer pathways for growth. Mafube Collectives exists as a practical platform for this mission. We believe talent is widely distributed, but access to opportunity, structure and visibility is not. Our work helps close that gap by equipping people with the skills, confidence, networks and positioning required to participate more meaningfully in Africa’s development and innovation ecosystems. My vision is to contribute to a more capable, connected and opportunity-ready generation of African professionals, entrepreneurs and changemakers who can build stronger institutions, more inclusive economies and sustainable communities. Countries served include Nigeria, with digital mentorship, training and ecosystem engagement extending to founders and professionals across African markets including Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda and other countries through partner-led and virtual programmes.

My career has been built around one question: how do we turn good ideas into measurable impact? Across Africa, I have worked with governments, development partners, founders, and innovation ecosystems to strengthen institutions, support entrepreneurs, scale agricultural transformation, and accelerate AI and digital innovation. Through advisory roles with the UNDP Timbuktoo initiative, the Mastercard Foundation, and other ecosystem partners, I have seen that the most complex challenges cannot be solved in isolation. Catalyst Now brings together the kind of cross-sector community needed to drive systemic change. I hope to contribute my experience in strategic partnerships, programme design, ecosystem building, and founder support, while learning from fellow practitioners and collaborating on solutions that advance the Sustainable Development Goals at scale.
