Independent (Daria Gerasimenko)
Daria Gerasimenko is a passionate and multidisciplinary researcher and sustainability advocate, with a background in international relations, sustainable finance, energy transition, and nuclear policy. She holds academic degrees from Tsinghua University, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, and KAIST, equipping her with both technical knowledge and global policy insight.
Her mission is to drive inclusive, science-based solutions to the climate crisis by bridging international cooperation, policy innovation, and emerging technologies. With a firm belief in the power of dialogue and knowledge-sharing, Daria actively engages in research and partnerships that promote just transitions, gender-inclusive finance, and sustainable development.
Professionally, she has held research and advisory roles in global think tanks and institutions such as the International Institute of Green Finance, Deloitte, and Rosatom. Currently, she supports AI, clean energy, and smart technology strategies at Beescloud while contributing to green finance and urban sustainability initiatives at the China Urban Planning Institute.
Daria’s vision is a world where finance, technology, and diplomacy converge to accelerate decarbonization and create a more equitable and resilient future. Through her work with the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers and Expert Network, as well as the CTBTO Youth Group, she advocates for youth leadership, peaceful nuclear applications, and systemic change in the financial system. As a curator of Global Shapers Beijijng II Hub she organizes a lot of events from sustainabiity to promoting inclusiveness in Beijing and strives to help more people in the community she lives.
