Independent (Denis NTIHINDAGIZWA)

As an environmental journalist with over five years of experience at the Burundi News Agency (ABP) and a co-founder of the Center for the Promotion of Information and Development (CEPID), my work revolves around making complex issues accessible to the public. My journey began with a passion for storytelling, leading me to specialize in multimedia journalism. I've covered a diverse range of topics, from environment and agriculture to health and politics, always striving to translate intricate details into clear, engaging narratives. My recent training in multimedia and mobile journalism further strengthens my ability to craft impactful stories that resonate with audiences across various platforms. I believe in the power of well-researched and compelling information to drive positive change and foster development. My mission is to empower communities through accurate, accessible, and engaging information, particularly concerning environmental conservation and sustainable development. I aim to bridge the gap between scientific complexities and public understanding, fostering informed decision-making and inspiring action. Through compelling multimedia journalism, I seek to highlight critical issues, celebrate local initiatives, and provide a platform for diverse voices in Burundi and beyond. I am committed to producing content that not only informs but also educates and advocates for a healthier, more sustainable future.

As a co-founder of Burundi's CEPID, created by former ESJ Lille students, I'm driven to join Catalyst Now to contribute practical development insights and collaborate on impactful initiatives. I hope to share lessons from fostering information access and local empowerment. In return, I seek a vibrant exchange of ideas, mentorship, and opportunities to scale sustainable solutions for global development challenges.
