Independent (Emily Grant)

I specialize in enhancing team performance. I offer cutting-edge retreats and coaching to growth-minded leaders and their teams, with the goal of boosting productivity, fostering morale, and improving well-being. My mission is to unlock the collective wisdom of groups through a liberatory facilitation approach, grounded in the values of care, excellence, and results. With over a decade of facilitation experience, I'm committed to sparking new energy in organizations by bringing out the best in their teams. My approach to igniting the inner wisdom of a team so they can obtain new ways of being, relating, knowing, and doing has four components: 1. Individual and Group Growth (i.e. individuals learn to be trusting and trustworthy, and groups learn what cultivates trust within their teams); 2. Group process which is creating and revising expectations, rituals, practices, etc. within their teams to build healthy and collaborative spaces and to ensure their time together is spent well; 3. Learning includes individual, dyads, and group activities and is based on the best of adult and transformative approaches (i.e., experiential, critical reflection, etc.); 4. Facilitation which is an approach that focuses on removing obstacles to contribution, connection, and equity, and is rooted in real world experiences of resolving injustices among diverse groups. I have completed my Master of Arts from St. Paul University in Ottawa, ON. My studies in Transformative Leadership and Spirituality inspired my approach to team development. The concept of Transformative Leadership that I have center my purpose and work around is one that "invites everybody to ask what kind of world they are creating through their thoughts, beliefs, actions, and interactions. Transformative leadership is, at its heart, a participatory process of creative collaboration and transformation for mutual benefit" (Montuori & Donnelly, 2019). While I am a new sole proprietor, this endeavor has been years in the making and is the culmination of extensive thought and planning. My passion lies in being a system changer. I am committed to bringing my unique approach to the world, aiming to transform organizations successfully. By doing so, I strive to help them lead the future towards brighter and more prosperous prospects for all.

I will offer my expertise in team development (i.e., team cohesion, communication, and collaboration, etc.) to empower social entrepreneurs and civil society organizations within Catalyst 2030. By equipping teams with the skills and tools to thrive I believe we can amplify their impact on achieving the SDGs. I seek connecting with like-minded individuals committed to social change. This is an opportunity to collaborate, generate innovative ideas, and gain new insights to enrich my work.
