As an individual, my goal is to create a social impact fund in the Dominican Republic based on alternative, non-extractive, funding mechanisms that promote responsible growth and long-term sustainability. In the interim, we are partnering with other local organizations to coinvest and provide technical support. I also created and lead a private foundation (Cruz Morel Foundation) established in the U.S. in 2023 with the purpose of funding local programs in the DR focused on education and gender equity.
