Global fashion brands are under increasing pressure to verify and document their supply chains, with requirements spanning ethical sourcing, environmental accountability, labor transparency, and compliance with emerging regulations such as the EU Digital Product Passport. Yet the artisan and small-batch production sector—representing millions globally—remains largely disconnected from digital infrastructure, resulting in fragmented networks, limited payment transparency, and unverifiable sourcing data. This creates systemic inefficiencies: brands face compliance and reputational risk, artisans lack market access and fair compensation, and supply chains operate without trust or verified data—making this gap not just a challenge, but a growing regulatory liability. The solution? ArtisanChain Network which uses blockchain technology, mobile money and data to create a network for artisans in developing countries to adapt to to the current changes in the industry.
