Independent (Matthias Brickel)

Matthias C. Brickel is a technology, strategy, and entrepreneurship professional with experience spanning deep technology, financial markets, and innovation. He has worked with governments, major enterprises, investors, and international organisations to help bring emerging technologies from research into real-world adoption and impact. Alongside his professional career, XX has been actively involved in leadership, mentorship, and community-building initiatives. He served as Curator of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Oxford Hub, where he led a diverse community of young leaders and supported projects focused on sustainability, leadership development, education, and social impact. He also led a large-scale mentorship programme that has supported hundreds of students and young professionals across leading universities. Matthias holds a postgraduate degree from the University of Oxford, and has studied business and economics in Europe, North America, and Latin America. He is particularly interested in the role of technology, entrepreneurship, and cross-sector collaboration in expanding opportunity, strengthening communities, and contributing to long-term positive systemic change.
