Independent (Michael Sapp)

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and CEO of the Trauma Resource Institute (TRI), which is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to empowering individuals, communities, and organizations in their journey towards healing and recovery from trauma. With a commitment to trauma- and resiliency-informed care, TRI offers innovative training, resources, and support to promote resilience, self-regulation, and community well-being through our two models: the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM)® and the Community Resiliency Model (CRM)®. While TRM is oriented toward mental health professionals, CRM takes on a public health focus and has been taught to professionals and natural leaders of communities. TRI's models are evidence-based and emphasize the importance of self-regulation, sensory awareness, and the integration of mind, body, and spirit in the healing process. They equip individuals to develop practical skills for managing stress, improving emotional well-being, and fostering healthy relationships.

I appreciate the mission of Catalyst 2030 to utilize "collaboration across sectors to unleash collective potential for global systems change." Our organization has worked hard to offer our services across many sectors and have being a part of the Catalyst 2030 community will allow me to continue to work across sectors in order to guard against the potential of becoming siloed in our efforts to effect change.
