Independent (Nishat Maryam)

I am a dedicated development professional with over 4 years of experience driving positive change in Pakistan. I am an organizer of Aurat March Islamabad which is the first intersectional feminist grassroots movement in Pakistan, advocating for women, queer, trans, and the rights of disabled individuals. My passion lies in designing and implementing impactful projects focused on education, gender equality, and community/youth development. My expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, donor care, and strategic communications enables me to design and implement initiatives that address critical development challenges effectively. I am eager to leverage my skills and passion to contribute to a more equitable and sustainable future.

I hope to join Catalyst 2030 as I am ambitious to work directly with institutions that are making an impact across the globe. I want to deepen my understanding of intersectionality, leadership and movement building. I also want to learn from the experiences of fellow activists.
